From January to May 2025, the total import value of US wool textile products reached 1.27 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 4.3%. Among them, the major wool textile manufacturing countries accounted for 27% of the US import value, 17% in India, 13% in China, 10% in the North American Free Trade Zone, and 7% in ASEAN. The import value of two main products in the US market, wool shuttle woven clothing and wool knitted clothing, was 530 million US dollars and 170 million US dollars respectively, with year-on-year changes of -1.1% and 4.8%, respectively. Among them, the import of these two types of products from ASEAN by the United States has grown rapidly, with the import of wool woven clothing and wool knitted clothing from ASEAN increasing by 15.7% and 110.2% respectively.

The import value of Japanese woolen products from January to May 2025 was 48.1 billion yen (approximately 320 million US dollars), a year-on-year decrease of 8.7%. During the same period, Japan imported 14.9 billion yen of woolen products from China, accounting for 31.1% of Japan's woolen imports, a decrease of 3.7 percentage points.

From January to May 2025, the import value of EU woolen products (imported from outside the EU) was 1.48 billion euros (approximately 1.71 billion US dollars), a year-on-year decrease of 2.3%. Among them, imports from China amounted to 470 million euros, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%, accounting for 31.9% of the EU's imports from outside the region.
